NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
National Service Scheme has started in Shri Niketan Arts Commerce College in the year 2006-2007.RashtrasantTukdojiMaharaj Nagpur University has sanctioned a unit of 50 students to appoint a program officer in our college.Under the banner of NSS various programs are organized in urban and rural areas, such as gram swachhtaabhiyan, tree plantation program,immunization programmes, blood donation and free blood group testing. Seven-day residential camp is also organized.The aim of the special Camping Programme is to bring youth face to face with the community and make efforts to improve their life. It also enable the students to develop their holistic personality and social consciousness.
Objectives
1) To create social and national awareness among the students
2) To develop the holistic personality of the students
3) To inculcate the values of self-reliance and social commitment
4) To develop democratic tendency by inculcating leadership qualities in the students
5) To spread and develop national unity
6) To develop civic sense
